For the fifth time, Franco Dragone Entertainment group called on the talent of Luc PETIT for the conception and staging of the urban opera Décrocher la Lune.
On Saturday September 29, 2012, the superheroes were invited to downtown La Louvière. Set against a chaotic economic and political backdrop, these are the most famous heroes of everyday life – who helped Sancho overcome obstacles and reach the moon.
They all found themselves on stage, on screen, but also in the middle of the crowd. Everyone was invited to dress up as heroes for the occasion!
Extraordinary ingredients for an exceptional show, shared by more than 30,000 spectators and broadcast live on all regional television channels. 2012 Sancho had to face a bunch of Star Wars “bad guys”, spreading terror throughout
the whole city, led by the formidable Joker who has come to steal the moon!
To thwart these Machiavellian plans, Sancho was able to count on the everyday warriors of La Louvière, but also on other famous allies: Akhenaton, the famous rapper, who came to sing a song specially written for the occasion and the dance group 2Mad, spotted after participating in several television shows.
Daniele Bossi’s stunning recycled costumes helped transform Mr. and Mrs. Joe Blogs into superheroes, while the tightrope walkers and building dancers delighted the audience with their rhythmic aerial dances to the music of the Orchestra Lunar, directed by Eloi Baudimont.
Mr. Zo’s work, which consisted of coordinating professional and amateur artists, once again contributed to making this event a truly popular celebration.
And for the grand finale, the only female human cannon in the world was fired into the air to help Sancho take down the moon from a sky lit as if by magic by fireworks designed by the famous Italian company Parente.
Another crowd success for the fifth edition of Décrocher la Lune, the design, staging and production of which were entrusted to Luc PETIT’s team, under the artistic direction of Franco Dragone.
