A battlefield filled with dreams and emotions. This is how Luc PETIT and VO Communication envisioned Inferno, the opening show for the commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo.

Drawing inspiration from Victor Hugo’s poem “The Expiation” to tell the story and design the set, he transported the 12,000 spectators into the heart of the inferno of combat and the poetry of the spectacle.

On a stage 170 meters long, 300 reenactors, 50 horses, and 150 artists recreated the emperor’s hellish battle in an apocalyptic atmosphere.
